Michelle Ha

Pronouns: She/her/hers
Role: Program Manager

Michelle Ha (何家嘉) is a second-generation Chinese Canadian artist and editor living on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As much as she enjoys staring at a blank canvas or page every now and then, she also has other interests that include archery, photography, playing cosy games, and reading translated literature and “own voice” stories.

Much of her work in the literary and arts world, and in her personal life, revolves around supporting and uplifting the voices of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, and the LGBTQIA+ community. She worked as a digital publisher and project coordinator for Geist magazine. She was the editor of issue 46.1 for Room. She is currently the program manager for the Future Arts Network, a mentorship program for women of colour and marginalised groups.

Michelle has publications in The Flesh magazine (Summer 2023) and Existere (Spring/Summer 2023).
